SOLA SCRIPTURA (by Scripture Alone)
2 TIMOTHY 3:16-17 – All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.
HEBREWS 4:12 – For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
Sola (Latin) – Alone
The five solas:

2 Types of Revelation:
- General Revelation
- Special Revelation
General Revelation – God revealing Himself to everyone through the universe.
PSALM 19:1 – The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork.
ROMANS 1:20 – For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse.
Special Revelation – God revealing Himself in particular ways to particular people (the Bible).
HEBREWS 1:1-2 – Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke to our fathers by the prophets, 2 but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the world.
ROMANS 10:17 – So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.
