EXODUS 1:1-7 – These are the names of the sons of Israel who came to Egypt with Jacob, each with his household: 2 Reuben, Simeon, Levi, and Judah, 3 Issachar, Zebulun, and Benjamin, 4 Dan and Naphtali, Gad and Asher. 5 All the descendants of Jacob were seventy persons; Joseph was already in Egypt. 6 Then Joseph died, and all his brothers and all that generation. 7 But the people of Israel were fruitful and increased greatly; they multiplied and grew exceedingly strong, so that the land was filled with them.

Exodus (צֵ֥את) – exit, departure.

EXODUS 19:1 – On the third new moon after the people of Israel had gone out of the land of Egypt, on that day they came into the wilderness of Sinai.

EXODUS 17:14 – Then the Lord said to Moses, “Write this as a memorial in a book and recite it in the ears of Joshua…”

EXODUS 24:4 – And Moses wrote down all the words of the LORD.

EXODUS 34:27 –  And the Lord said to Moses, “Write these words, for in accordance with these words I have made a covenant with you and with Israel.”

MATTHEW 2:15 – This was to fulfill what the Lord had spoken by the prophet, “Out of Egypt I called my son.”

JOHN 6:31-35 – Our fathers ate the manna in the wilderness; as it is written, ‘He gave them bread from heaven to eat.’ ” 32 Jesus then said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, it was not Moses who gave you the bread from heaven, but my Father gives you the true bread from heaven. 33 For the bread of God is he who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.” 34 They said to him, “Sir, give us this bread always.” 35 Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst.

1 CORINTHIANS 5:7 – “…For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed.

EXODUS 13:17 – When Pharaoh let the people go, God did not lead them by way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near. For God said, “Lest the people change their minds when they see war and return to Egypt.”
